The Freedom Trail

We could have spent a couple of days in Boston but we only had 1/2 a day.  We did about a 1/3 of the Freedom Trail.  We had a knowledgeable, quirky tour guide take us back in time.

The trail is marked with a brick path to follow around the city.

People will leave a pebble or token on the grave stone to show they had been there.

This is Mother Goose's grave stone.

An interesting note, every President since... I can't remember which one, has stayed in the Omni Parker hotel when they visit the city.

This is where the Boston Massacre happened.

Every 4th of July the Declaration of Independence is read from this balcony.

This gal was giving out fortunes for a dollar.

The Famous Mike's Pastry, the line wrapped around outside of the bakery.
 Hi Mike!

Gabe is hoisting up a goat like they would on the boat to get it aboard.  This is one of those hands-on museums, one of the best I have ever been in.  I wish we had more time to spend in there and check everything out.
