Sheer Delight

One of the service field trips for 3rd grade is to perform at a nursing home all the nuggets of verse, song, scripture, and music they have gleaned.  A few practiced harmonicans warmed up with Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star before going inside.

Mr. C taught the children sign language and how to play the harmonica.  Gabe fell in love with this instrument and tooted this pipe around the house.  Our cat either really liked this or really didn't because she would follow him around and nibble on his toes as he played.
My guy stood and recited 1 Timothy 4: 1-8 from heart.

The best part of the day is when the children walk around to the residents, sign their names and give them a BIG HUG!  Oh, their precious faces are a delight to my very soul!

Afterwards they let off some steam and then we went across the road to a friend's house who shared her little treasure with the kiddos.
She has an antique phonograph with thick records.  The only kid that wanted to climb inside and see how every little part worked was mine...no surprise there.
Last we visited Robert Fulton's birthplace.  He is one of the inventor's they studied this year.  What a beautiful place!

Leviticus 19:32 NIV

" 'Rise in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the LORD.

 Coram Deo,
